UICC has opened nominations, due by 15 April 2026, for 14 Board seats and a President-elect to be voted on at the virtual General Assembly on 20 October 2026, with a Nominating Committee shortlisting candidates to ensure a diverse, representative leadership slate.

The nominations process for the 2026–2028 UICC Board of Directors and the next President‑elect are now open. UICC is seeking a diverse slate of qualified individuals to help guide the organisation’s strategic direction and support its mission to unite and strengthen the global cancer community.

For the 2026–2028 term, 14 Board members and one President‑elect will be elected at the General Assembly on 20 October 2026. The President‑elect will serve ex officio on the Board before assuming the presidency in October 2028.

A Nominating Committee, composed of the current President, President‑elect, Immediate Past President and two retiring Board members, will review all submissions and propose a shortlist of candidates who collectively represent the diversity of UICC’s membership and the cancer control community.

Nominations must be received by 15 April 2026 (23:59 GMT+1). Late submissions will not be considered.

Following submission, nominees will be asked to confirm their willingness to be considered. Shortlisted candidates will later be invited to provide additional documentation and will be presented to the membership ahead of the General Assembly.

The General Assembly will take place virtually on 20 October 2026, with full member organisations eligible to vote. Associate members wishing to obtain voting rights may upgrade their membership.

Resources to support the nominations process, including the Terms of Reference for Board members and for the President, as well as a Nominations FAQ, are available to guide prospective nominators.
