The annual cycling events organised by UICC partner Bristol Myers Squibb’s, known as ‘C2C4C’, return once again this year to support UICC organisations. This year, for the first time, the Japan ride will also support UICC members in the Asia-Pacific region.
Fundraising has now opened for the European event, which begins 5 September in Munich and concludes 22 September in London. Ninety-six employees from 19 countries will take part, each riding approximately 360 kilometres over three days. Bristol Myers Squibb has committed to match donations up to USD 200,000 in support of cancer organisations across the region.
“The C2C4C ride unites us, fostering teamwork in honor of our friends, family, and the countless cancer patients we strive to support daily through our work. I am deeply moved by the significance of this initiative to all of us. I had the honour to ride the C2C4C last year in Latin America and live this unforgettable experience. This year, I will be supporting my colleagues from the European teams and contribute to raising funds for UICC's members to ensure patients receive the diagnosis, treatment, and care necessary to fight cancer.”
– Emma Charles, Senior Vice President, Europe Region, Bristol Myers Squibb

Latin America’s ride returns for its third year from 1–9 December. 45 employees from seven countries will cover roughly 900 kilometres between Pucón and Puerto Varas, Chile. Bristol Myers Squibb will also be matching donations up to USD 50,000 will go toward supporting UICC member organisations in the region.
“As the C2C4C initiative enters a new chapter with its expansion into Asia, we are reminded of the global spirit that drives these events. The energy and dedication of the participants embody the kind of collaboration and shared purpose that are essential to advancing people-centred cancer care. On behalf of UICC’s members, I thank Bristol Myers Squibb for their unwavering commitment and continued partnership in this shared mission.”
– Cary Adams, CEO of UICC
C2C4C began in the United States in 2014 and has since raised over USD 19 million globally. It is not a race, but a commitment by participants – many of whom are novice cyclists – to train for months and ride in solidarity with those affected by cancer.
