The C2C4C Latin America ride has begun! Bristol Myers Squibb employees unite to support UICC members across the region

More than 40 riders from eight countries have set off on a nine-day, 900-km journey across Chile to raise funds for UICC members in Latin America, with donations open until 23 December.

Today marks the start of the fourth edition of the Continent 2 Continent 4 Cancer (C2C4C) Latin America ride, organised by Bristol Myers Squibb. Over the next nine days, more than 40 employees from eight countries will cycle nearly 900 kilometres across southern Chile.

The ride begins in Pucón and will conclude in Puerto Varas, with each participant covering approximately 360 kilometres over three days. Riders hail from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, and the United States, and have trained for five months in preparation for this challenge.

“Every year, this is a moment that draws our teams together with a singular focus and elevates the passion that we have to celebrate our commitment to patients. The motivation to participate for each of our Bristol Myers Squibb team members is personal and as we kick off this life changing experience in support of UICC as our partner and beneficiary. I am inspired by our commitment to do more for those impacted by cancer worldwide.”

C2C4C Latin America is celebrating its fourth consecutive year. It continues Bristol Myers Squibb’s global tradition of employee cycling events to support cancer research and the experience of people living with cancer and their caregivers, beginning with the US in 2014, then Europe in 2016, and Asia-Pacific with the Japan ride since 2021.

Fundraising for the Latin America ride is open until 23 December 2025, with Bristol Myers Squibb pledging up to USD 50,000 to support rider efforts. Donations will benefit UICC member organisations working to improve cancer care across the region.

“After a successful three years of the ride, we are very happy to be partnering again with Bristol Myers Squibb for the fourth edition of the C2C4C fundraising event in Latin America. Bristol Myers Squibb’s commitment to expanding this event to other regions of the world to further raise money for cancer research is inspiring. We wish all the best to this year’s riders who have the chance to support UICC members in this region.”
Cary Adams, CEO of UICC
