New report from UICC shows impact of air pollution on cancer risk and mortality

Monday 20 April 2026, Geneva, Switzerland – The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), with support from the Clean Air Fund, has released a global report, Clean air in cancer control: An overview of the evidencepresenting data on the scale of cancer risk and mortality from polluted air.

This report summarises evidence from 42 systematic reviews on the links between air pollution and cancer, including lung cancer and emerging evidence for other cancer types.
