Online course: Advocacy for improved cancer control

For UICC Members only

Cancer control advocacy plays a vital role in influencing policies, mobilising resources, and driving meaningful change in cancer prevention, treatment, and care. While there is no single recipe for advocacy success, there are common themes that underpin successful advocacy efforts: clear understanding of the policy landscape, strong evidence, strategic partnerships, and effective engagement with decision-makers.

This course provides a practical playbook for designing and implementing effective advocacy initiatives. Through expert insights and real-world case studies, participants will learn how to understand the policy landscape, build evidence-based advocacy strategies, engage partners and decision-makers, implement advocacy activities, and monitor progress to drive sustainable change in cancer control.
