Call for collaborative initiatives

In the context of the next regional meetings that will gather UICC members from all regions at the 2018 World Cancer Congress in Kuala Lumpur, the UICC team is engaging its members at an early stage to invite them to share their collaborative initiatives in which they have been involved, to be featured during the event.

2018 UICC Award Nomination Form

The World Cancer Day Spirit Award recognises and encourages UICC member organisations who demonstrate a generous collaborative spirit in their World Cancer Day activities. 

The World Cancer Day Spirit Award recognises a truly collaborative World Cancer Day campaign.

This is the person who in principle would receive the award on behalf of the organisation at the Award Ceremony at the 2018 World Cancer Congress. Should your initiative be among the three short-listed, this person will be interviewed by phone by the jury during July / August 2018. ​

This World Cancer Day, we are calling for equal access to cancer detection, treatment and care services around the world. Share the message that everyone  - no matter where they were born, where they live, their gender, income or ethnicity -  should have access to the life-saving diagnosis, treatment and care they need.

This World Cancer Day, UICC joins its partner Boehringer Ingelheim to talk about the causal link between asbestos and mesothelioma and the challenges of securing a diagnosis and optimal treatment for rare cancers. UICC takes this opportunity to update its call to action on asbestos and highlights the WHO top 10 chemicals of public health concern.
