UICC Member Receives Prestigious World No Tobacco Day Award

Stella Aguinaga Bialous, RN, MSc, DrPh, FAAN, President of the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC)

Stella Aguinaga Bialous, RN, MSc, DrPh, FAAN, President of the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care (ISNCC), a UICC member for many years, was announced as one of the four tobacco control advocates to win the 2015 World No Tobacco Day Award!
 
The award recognises individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of tobacco policies and measures, particularly in relation to the theme of  World No Tobacco Day, which is on 31st May.
 
Stella is actively involved in tobacco cessation work and is the President of Tobacco Policy International. She is an internationally recognised expert in the field and has led many tobacco cessation projects and workshops internationally, including in Czech Republic, Poland and China. Stella is currently leading a two-year project to develop a Center of Excellence for Tobacco Cessation in Prague, Czech Republic for one of the largest grants received by ISNCC.
