Call to host the World Cancer Congress in 2020 and 2022

UICC Members are invited to host the leading conference on knowledge transfer in cancer control, and raise their country and region profile amongst the global cancer and health community.

  • Expressions of interest to be submitted by Friday 25 March 2016
  • Bid documents to be submitted by Friday 9 September 2016

With 2.1 billion opportunities to see, hear and read about the event in 2014 and a steady increase in participation, the World Cancer Congress has garnered strong recognition amongst the global cancer community over the years. It has been acknowledged as the most important international platform for exchange of best practice in cancer implementation science, and a key networking opportunity for the global cancer and wider health community.

So far, leading UICC members such as Cancer Council Australia, the Quebec Cancer Foundation, McGill University, Montréal University, the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association and many others have proudly housed this biennial event which is usually themed around an inspiring and pertinent topic to the cancer and global health agenda.

In 2016, the Congress will create great opportunities for our community to further ‘Mobilise Action – Inspire Change’ from 31 October – 3 November 2016 in Paris, France, under the auspices of the French League Against Cancer and ALIAM.

In 2018, we expect to see as many of you in Kuala Lumpur as the National Cancer Society of Malaysia will be hosting the conference.

For the 2020 or 2022 Congresses, the call for submissions is now open. Take your chance!
