23 July 2025, 09:00-10:00 Central European Summer Time (click here to convert timezone)
Civil society plays a vital role in shaping national policies, holding governments accountable, and increasing the reach and impact of cancer services. This Virtual Dialogue will showcase the role of civil society organisations (CSOs) in advancing national efforts supporting cervical cancer elimination through effective advocacy.
Participants will learn about ways to advance progress towards the 90:70:90 cervical cancer elimination targets through national advocacy. UICC will share its latest advocacy resource, the Cervical Cancer Advocacy handbook, which seeks to guide and inspire CSOs and patient groups on how to establish national coalitions and develop effective advocacy strategies in support of the implementation of the World Health Organization's (WHO) Global Strategy.
The event will feature case studies from different countries in which CSOs are driving progress towards the elimination targets through advocacy and aims to encourage focused discussions among the cervical cancer community.
