PINK MONTH -Breast Cancer Awareness Month Observance

Awareness and Screening Programs

This year, MCCS has planned a month-long series of awareness programs, screening camps, and village-level mammography camps, reaching out to over 5,000 families . The initiative was launched at Krishna Menon Women's College, Kannur, where over 1,000 college students, faculty, and staff participated in awareness classes, a flash mob, and a short drama highlighting the importance of breast self-examination and early detection. It was inaugurated by Smt Kala Bhaskar, Additional District Magistrate, presided over by D Krishnanadha Pai, Founder& President MCCS, Dr Suchithra Sudhir, Dr T.K Chandramohanan were the guests of honour, dr Nidheesh KP, Mr. TK Ramesh kumar addressed the students .Awareness session was handled by Dr V C Ravindran and Dr Harsha Gangdharan.The programme ended with a pledge to empower and fight breast cancer 

Month-Long Activities

Throughout October on all days, MCCS will conduct a range of activities, including:

- Awareness campaigns

- Educational sessions

- Cancer screening camps

- Village-level mammography camps

- Public outreach initiatives

These efforts aim to emphasize the significance of early detection and timely treatment in the fight against breast cancer.
