Organisational leadership series 2/3: Strategic alignment and planning
18 June 2026, 13:00-14:30 Central European Summer Time (click here to convert timezone)
A clear and coherent strategy is the backbone of sustainable organisational growth, yet many organisations struggle to move beyond reactive, day-to-day operations. Without an overarching direction, operational pressures can eclipse long-term ambition, and even where strategic plans exist, they may fail to translate into meaningful action.
This session focuses on the gap between having a strategy and using it: how organisations translate strategic ambition into priorities, decisions, resources, accountability, communications, and fundraising choices.
During the session, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on:
- How does strategy become operational reality?
- How do teams align around strategic choices and trade-offs?
- How do fundraising, partnerships, and external communications reinforce the strategy rather than distract from it?
