UICC to take part in the World Cancer Series Europe by Economist Impact

UICC is pleased to endorse the event scheduled to take place in Brussels in June 2025.

Economist Impact has decided to hold the 10th World Cancer Series Europe in Brussels on 10-11 June 2025. Ulrika Årehed Kågström, UICC President and Cary Adams, CEO will attend as speakers.

UICC welcomed earlier this month the decision by The Economist Group to cut ties with the tobacco industry, acknowledging that healthcare is a strategic priority for the Group. The Economist Impact unit organises over 150 global events annually on key issues related to health, sustainability and technology.

UICC had previously made the decision to withdraw from the World Cancer Series upon learning of the ties with the tobacco industry.
