UICC President receives prestigious recognition by Australia’s Governor-General
UICC is delighted to share that UICC President Professor Jeff Dunn AO and Chief of Mission & Head of Research at the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) has been recognised as an outstanding World Cancer Leader by Australia’s Governor-General.

In a special reception held on 25 July 2023 at Admiralty House in Sydney, Australia’s Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), honored Jeff Dunn for his lifetime contributions to cancer control and his significant role as UICC President since October 2022.
The event was attended by distinguished Australian and international cancer control researchers, policymakers, professionals, and cancer survivors, highlighting the global impact of Jeff Dunn's work.
His Excellency commended Jeff's remarkable service as one of Australia's longest-serving cancer charity executives and a recognised World Cancer Leader. Moreover, he acknowledged his pivotal 30-year involvement with UICC prior to becoming President, underlining his dedication to international cancer control and support for Australian men and families affected by prostate cancer.
Adding to his numerous achievements, Jeff Dunn serves as Professor of Social and Behavioral Science and Chair of Cancer Survivorship at the University of Southern Queensland, as well as a Board Member and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for the West Moreton Hospital and Health Service.
