MPCCC empowers research-active professionals and people with cancer, to connect with each other and work collaboratively on innovative, patient-centred cancer research. The MPCCC’s Precision Oncology Program enables people with rare, advanced and treatment resistant cancers to participate in cutting edge cancer genomics research, that directly informs clinical management tailored to their individual circumstances. • Weekly Molecular Tumour Boards convene health professionals and research academics to discuss case management and continue to develop expertise and confidence in applying precision oncology. • Through our dedicated molecular oncology fellows and molecular pathology fellows, MPCCC connects its network across Clinical Trials Centres and provides inroads to compassionate access programs, expanding and accelerating patients’ access to clinical trials and new cancer treatments. • MPCCC’s emerging discovery and innovation platform will link scientists to tissue banks and data registries of consenting patient cohorts, boosting the next generation of research • Establishing systems to monitor patient outcomes is an ambition that MPCCC has prioritised for our current funding cycle. • The Precision Oncology Program seminar series communicates the latest in research and informed new opportunities across our organisations and disciplines. • MPCCC has joined forces with the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre Alliance to deliver a “roadmap” to overcome current systemic challenges to equitable access to precision cancer medicine in Victoria. A first-of-its-kind Victorian Precision Cancer Summit, was convened in April 2023 to identify barriers and enablers and was attended by over 250 experts from across the cancer sector. • Social media, monthly e-newsletters, a website, a networking forum used to communicate the latest research and clinical advancements and showcase our achievements.
