The HPV Prevention and Control Board, created in 2015, is an independent, multi-disciplinary board of renowned experts contributing to the HPV Prevention and Control. The HPV Board facilitates high level-stakeholder engagement on key technical issues related to prevention and control of HPV related diseases by organizing two meetings per year. The first meeting is a technical meeting that focuses on key technical topics such as long-term safety and efficacy, HPV vaccine communication, HPV vaccination schedule in people living with HIV, and availability and use of different HPV immunoassays, among many other topics. The country meeting focuses on the SWOT analysis of the country or region and on landscaping country-level or regional issues to introduce or accelerate HPV prevention and control strategies. These meetings are organized based on a needs assessment by following three steps; extensive literature review, meeting evaluation surveys, and discussions with a multidisciplinary group of advisers of the HPV Board, renowned experts in their field and relevant expertise to advise on the HPV prevention and control needs around the world. The HPV board brings together global and national experts to discuss key topics to evaluate the current situation, policies, and impact on the WHO cervical cancer elimination goals. The target audiences for the HPV board meetings are policymakers, academic experts, key opinion leaders, and healthcare professionals. More information on our previous meetings and advisers can also be found on our website at www.hpvboard.org.
