"The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) unites and supports the cancer community to reduce the global cancer burden, to promote greater equity, and to ensure that cancer control continues to be a priority in the world health and development agenda."
Hope Foundation for Cancer Care was founded in 2002, and consists of a group of medical professionals as well as cancer patients, family members, and social workers. They seek to provide cancer patients with the best care, all the resources, support, and knowledge they need, and to help them return to a healthy state and well-being. Their major programs are cancer education, advocacy, cancer family service, building a cancer resource network, and international cooperation. Hope Foundation for Cancer Care became full UICC member in May 2006.
