The mission of the Carita Foundation is to provide patients and communities with comprehensive support, education, and awareness, as well as to undertake activities in the field of care, social assistance, and health protection, with a particular focus on patients living with multiple myeloma and other cancers. The Foundation actively works to improve access to modern and innovative treatment methods in Poland, so that every patient has better access to optimal diagnosis, treatment, and care. The Foundation achieves its goals through: Education in the field of multiple myeloma and other cancers; Organization of educational projects such as events, webinars, surveys, and reports; Advocacy and initiatives aimed at protecting the rights and interests of people living with cancer; Charitable activities and volunteering; Activities supporting and promoting public health and cancer prevention; Actions supporting European and global cooperation. The Carita Foundation is involved in cancer control because multiple myeloma and other cancers require not only effective treatment but also systemic solutions in the areas of early diagnosis, access to modern therapies, patient education, quality of care, and survivorship support. Our organization contributes to cancer control by: educating patients and the public about cancer and early diagnosis, supporting patients in navigating the healthcare system and accessing treatment, advocating for equal access to modern therapies, cooperating with national and international stakeholders, participating in research, surveys, and reports that help improve cancer policy and patient care, supporting prevention and health promotion activities. Through these activities, the Foundation contributes to improving cancer outcomes, quality of life of patients, and strengthening the cancer care system in Poland, which is aligned with the goals of UICC and the global cancer control agenda.
