Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's interdisciplinary teams of world-renowned scientists and humanitarians work together to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, HIV/AIDS and other diseases. Their researchers, including three Nobel laureats bring a relentless pursuit and passion for health, knowledge and hope to their work and the world. Their researchers discover new ways to detect cancers earlier, when cure rates are highest; develop effective treatments with fewer side effects; and learn how to prevent cancers from growing in the first place. Hutchinson Center, together with its clinical and research partners, the University of Washington, Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Centre and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, comprise the Fred Hutchinson/University of Washington Cancer Consortium. The Consortium is among 39 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers nationwide Since 1978, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center has been full UICC member.
