Denis Asuagbor Association (DAA)

The Denis Asuagbor Association (DAA) is a Cameroon-based non-profit organisation advancing cancer awareness, prevention, and early detection in underserved communities. Founded in 2025 on the values of integrity, discipline, and service, DAA addresses critical gaps in cancer knowledge and access to timely care through a data-driven, community-based approach. Through outreach campaigns in markets, universities, and churches, the organisation has reached over 4,000 people directly and many more indirectly, while generating valuable field insights on awareness levels, beliefs, and barriers to screening. These insights inform targeted, scalable interventions. DAA is also building frontline capacity by training community health workers and strengthening referral pathways between communities and health facilities. As a member of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), DAA is committed to expanding its impact and contributing to global efforts to reduce the cancer burden in low- and middle-income settings.
