Virtual Dialogue: Nutrition and cancer in children, teens and young adults - Current understanding and opportunities for collaboration
A discussion hosted in collaboration with the International Collaboration on Nutrition in relation to Cancer (ICONIC - a formal Task Force of the International Union of Nutritional Sciences).

Cancer remains a significant cause of death in childhood despite improvements in treatment and outcomes, and survivors carry substantial risks to their long-term health in adult life. Response to treatment, survival and health outcomes of children, teenagers and young adults (CTYA) with cancer is greatly improved when attention is given to diet, nutrition and physical activity as an integral component of routine care.
Building on the discussions from their first Virtual Dialogue on this topic, UICC and ICONIC aimed to share current research activity and best practices in nutrition and childhood cancer, and discussed key priorities for research to improve the long-term health of CTYAs after treatment in both high-income and low/middle-income countries.
