Tous Unis Contre le Cancer

In response to the new national health policy of Niger adopted in May 2002, Association Tous Unis Contre le Cancer (TUCC) was founded the following year in 2003. TUCC's principal action programmes are focused on informing the public, health agencies, the media, and the authorities of Niger on the risk factors of cancer; providing continuing education for medical personnel on prevention, early detection and cancer treatment; developing partnerships; and organizing cancer research. Breast, cervical and uterine cancer prevention is a top priority in TUCC activities. TUCC also focuses on the prevention of liver cancer, lung cancer, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, leukemia and digestive cancers. Association Tous Unis Contre le Cancer was accepted as an associate UICC member in 2008.
