RCR's main work is tailored around cancer patient support, cancer research, and cancer education programs. We work by raising awareness of all types of cancers affecting children and adults. We also provide cancer support by strengthening healthcare providers' capacities working on cancer and advocating for people living with cancer and their families by providing financial and psychological support. We are implementing projects that provide financial support to our beneficiaries to support diagnostic tests, and treatment (surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy). We are carrying out several projects in public education, research, and psychological support. These include research investigating the knowledge of healthcare on cancers that affect children and adults. We organize annual walks to raise awareness of common cancers; we run radio and television talk shows directed to the general population to increase cancer awareness. We do hospital visits, providing basic necessities and moral support to patients on treatment and their caretakers. In the future, we are planning to start a project of transporting cancer patients during treatment and post-treatment follow-ups which will enhance survivorship and a housing facility for hosting them while undergoing radiotherapy.
