A non-stock, non-profit, volunteer-based, breast cancer (BC) focused organization providing collaborative-community-based-empowerment for breast health; with early BC detection and diagnosis; and an efficient-referral-system for access to multidisciplinary BC care services. Our 2008 – 2024 mission was “to build communities with knowledge of and access to better breast health and equal opportunities to live quality lives with decreasing deaths from BC in the Philippines by 2028; with an overarching goal of creating the domino-effects of “Early-Detection = Early-Treatment = Saving-Lives (Increased-Survival)!” from collaborative-community-based BC Awareness (BCA) seminars with free-onsite-clinical breast services (BC Risk-Factor-Assessment + Clinical-Breast-Examinations + Breast-Imaging-Recommendations + Biopsy); with free-online follow-up consults. With 2019 signing of Universal-Health-Care (UHC, R.A. 11223) and National-Integrated-Cancer-Control-Act (NICCA, R.A. 11215); and a 2024-collaborative-opportunity with Henry Ford Health Michigan for it Zero-Suicide®-CoCM, Gift2Life is shifting to Collective-Impact-Initiatives with an enhanced 2025 – 2030 mission: “to build communities with synergized empowerment for breast health and mental health; an enhanced access to BC services; including behavioral health integration and zero suicide® care pathways (for those with depression and anxiety among those identified high-risk for BC; among BC patients; and anyone with suicide ideations); hence, integrating points-of-convergence for early-detection; timely-diagnosis; and access-to-integrated-and-comprehensive-treatment-care by 2030, among Filipino segments and OFWs coming home for treatment; with an encompassing collective-goal with UHC and NICCA of “Breast Health & BC Services with Mental Health for All. Breast Cancer Free (Free from Burden and Premature Deaths) Synergized with Zero-Suicide®-Care-Pathways among [Target-Beneficiaries] of [Partner] Segments by 2030”.
