Fundación Sandra Ibarra de Solidaridad Frente al Cáncer

Fundación Sandra Ibarra is a non-profit organisation, with eleven years of experience, focused on cancer prevention, research and survivors. We have been financing scholarships for eleven years and promoting public campaigns to tackle cancer with positivity and rigor, not only from the clinical or scientific point of view, but also socially, encouraging the media to banish warlike language, that public administrations develop the humanisation in the health system and that professional organisations of doctors open up to the debate and the opinion of patients. The Foundation has created a School of Cancer Survivors, a School of Life (Escuela de Vida), which has the objective to strive for a long-term survivor follow-up and for helping them in their healthcare needs, in a transition period in which there is no tumour or treatment, but there are many effects and needs for which there are not protocols for action.
