"The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) unites and supports the cancer community to reduce the global cancer burden, to promote greater equity, and to ensure that cancer control continues to be a priority in the world health and development agenda."
In Chile, 3 people die of cancer every hour. One of them would have the opportunity to live if they had had a diagnosis or treatment on time. Fundacion Chile Sin Cancer’s purpose is to "bring opportunities for Chileans to have quality cancer care". This means, building partnerships to minimize the inequality in the public health system by improving the conditions to acquire a better infrastructure and equipment, capacity building of health professionals, and developing care models to improve the cancer health system.
