World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day 2025 toolkit
On 17 November 2020, the world came together to launch WHO’s Global Strategy to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer. Each year since, countries and communities have marked this date as a day of action — a moment to showcase progress toward the 90–70–90 targets, amplify voices, and unite around a shared goal: eliminating cervical cancer as a public health problem.
In 2025, this collective journey reaches an important milestone: World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day — the first World Health Day dedicated to eliminating a cancer. This moment represents five years of global action and serves as a reminder that the tools exist, the path is clear, and progress is being made worldwide.
