Antimicrobial resistance is undermining progress in treating cancer successfully

Marking World Antimicrobial Awareness Week on 18-24 November, the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) emphasises the danger that drug resistance poses to individuals who are particular vulnerable to infection, such as people living with cancer, with fatal infections representing a significant cause of death among cancer patients.
