2022 Technical and Virtual Fellowships calls opens

The 2022 call for Technical Fellowships is now open for applications in English or French (Bourses pour l’Afrique Francophone), as well as the Virtual Fellowships.

Since 1976, UICC Technical Fellowships have offered over 4,000 cancer professionals international training opportunities to gain invaluable skills and knowledge in cancer control. In response to last year’s travel restrictions imposed by the pandemic, UICC launched the Virtual Fellowships to provide training to individuals working at UICC member organisations via a series of video calls, as an alternative to in-person visits.

This year, for the first time, the programme is accepting applications for visits of two to eight weeks, allowing applicants more flexibility and ensuring that the length of the visit can be tailored to best support the Fellowships objectives.

The calls are open until the end of the year and applicants can apply at any time. Although applications in all fields of cancer control are welcomed, Fellowships are focusing more particularly this year on cancer prevention, early detection, cancer in older populations and breast and cervical cancers.

For eligibility requirements for Fellowships opportunities and level of funding available, please consult the Fellowships application guidelines and/or contact fellowships@uicc.org
