Facts on air pollution, cancer and health
Reducing air pollution not only mitigates the risk of developing lung cancer, but the actions to do so – increased green spaces, cleaner energy sources, active transportation (walking and cycling) – promote a healthier environment to people to lead more active lives, which lowers the risk of developing a range of cancers and other non-communicable diseases.
