Oral Cancer Workshop

The purpose of this Oral Cancer Workshop is to educate BDS students on the critical importance of early detection and effective treatment of oral cancer. This workshop aims to empower them to actively contribute to timely intervention and improved patient outcomes in the fight against oral cancer.

The Oral Cancer Workshop is designed to equip BDS students with essential knowledge and skills to combat oral cancer. Focusing on early detection, risk factors, symptoms, and diagnostic techniques, the workshop builds a strong foundation for effective treatment. A key component is hands-on training in biopsy procedures, crucial for early diagnosis and management.

Objectives include educating students on the importance of early detection, providing a thorough understanding of risk factors and diagnostic methods, and empowering them with practical biopsy skills. The workshop raises awareness about oral cancer, teaches students to identify premalignant lesions, and emphasizes the role of biopsies in timely diagnosis.

The structure includes lectures on oral cancer basics, premalignant lesions, and biopsy techniques, followed by case studies and practical demonstrations. The annual program will be expanded nationwide, focusing on early detection and training students to improve patient outcomes through active participation in diagnosis and treatment.
