Malabar Cancer Care Society Kannur - World No Tobacco Day

On May 30, the observance was inaugurated by Dr. V.C. Ravindran, Medical Director of Malabar Cancer Care Society, who launched an anti-tobacco awareness class for children at the Indian Institute of Commerce (Lakshya), Kozhikode. MCCS President D. Krishnanath Pai delivered the keynote address, and Lead Academic Coordinator Smt. Bhavitha presided over the function. Awareness classes were led by Dr. V.C. Ravindran and Medical Officer Dr. Harsha Gangadharan. 

On May 31 at 10:15 AM, a live talk show was organized in collaboration with All India Radio (FM), Kannur, as part of the anti-tobacco awareness campaign. Participants included AIR Program Executive T.K. Unnikrishnan, MCCS President D. Krishnanath Pai, and MCCS member Dr. Suja Vinod.

An anti-tobacco awareness class was also held at the Senior Citizens' Hall in Kuthuparamba, jointly organized with the Humanist Centre, Janashraddha Cultural Forum, Taluk Hospital Kuthuparamba, and Kudumbashree Mission Kuthuparamba. The session was inaugurated by Dr. Anita K. Joshi, Superintendent of the Taluk Hospital. The welcome address was delivered by Sudhesh Kumar, while Adv. Dhananjayan T.P. presided over the function.

Kuthuparamba Municipality Health Standing Committee Chairperson Smt. Ajitha K, Kerala Secretary of the Senior Citizen Forum P. Kumaran, T. Bharathan Master, B.P. Padmanabhan Master, CDS Chairperson P. Shaija, and Lalchand Makreri offered felicitations. The vote of thanks was delivered by C.V. Susheef. The awareness class was led by MCCS Medical Officer Dr. Harsha Gangadharan.
