The Awake Summit 2026

The AWAKE Campaign is a youth-led public health movement using film, advocacy, and community outreach to advance cervical cancer prevention in Nigeria. Founded by filmmaker Ire Belles, after a documentary revealed the silent cervical crisis in Nigeria, it combines storytelling with on-ground action — including awareness drives, community education, screening support, and HPV vaccination access, especially in underserved communities.

The AWAKE Summit, taking place at Alliance Française de Lagos, serves as a flagship convening that brings together stakeholders across health, media, policy, advocacy, and the creative sectors. Through the premiere of the AWAKE Documentary, survivor stories, expert dialogue, and cross-sector collaboration, the summit aims to spark practical solutions, strengthen partnerships, and move audiences from awareness to action in cervical cancer prevention.
