Dominica Cancer Society

The Dominica Cancer Society's is a non-profit organization. Its mission is to seek to mobilize resources, educate, empower and provide support to individuals, families and communities. It promotes prevention and management of cancers using various strategies and provides support for cancer patients and their families. The Society focuses on raising funds to assist cancer patients to access treatment in Dominica and also other countries(for treatment not available in Dominica). It also provides support for patients by helping them navigate the health care system.The Cancer Society collaborates with the Ministry of Health, other members of the public and private sector to provide various forms of support. The Society also includes a support group and a Youth Arm to help deliver services. All persons involved in the work of the Dominica Cancer Society are volunteers.
