Make Your Move

Each year, World Cancer Research Fund holds Cancer Prevention Action Week (19-25 February 2024) which focuses on supporting and empowering the public to make changes to their daily habits, and that of their families, to reduce their risk of preventable cancers. 

Being physically active is one of the things people can do to reduce their risk of certain cancers so our next Cancer Prevention Action Week is encouraging people to be more physically active. We’d love for as many as possible to be involved by helping spread awareness and encourage supporters, colleagues, friends and family to take part in Make Your Move. 

We’re asking people to Make Your Move by getting more active during their downtime. Whether that’s using a can of baked beans to do bicep curls in front of the TV, lunges or squats while waiting for the kettle to boil. Or whether they are brave enough to break out into a little dance routine while waiting for the bus – people find the moments that work for them.

We’d be delighted to know if you’d be interested in taking part in this campaign by: 

• Sharing the campaign assets and messages over social media and any additional communication channels 
• Encouraging your followers, supporters, donors or staff to participate in #MakeYourMove (on a date agreed nearer the time)
• Providing your organisation’s logo to demonstrate your support for the campaign by being listed on a campaign ‘partners and supporters’ web page.
