New online training course on leadership and management for UICC civil society organisation (CSO) members

Applications are open for a new UICC's online course providing members with essential learning on leading and managing civil society organisations in the context of cancer control. The course is offered in English, French and Spanish. 

To strengthen the role of civil society in developing sustainable and effective cancer control, UICC is launching a new online course to provide its members with foundational learning across key areas of leadership and management for CSOs in cancer control. 

The programme will run for six months between November 2023 to April 2024 and will be offered for three different language cohorts, English, French and Spanish. Over the course of the programme participating organisations will be able to access pre-recorded webinars, resources, assessments and live discussions to build their staff and volunteers' capacity across the following organisational domains:

  1. Governance and leadership

  2. Strategic planning

  3. Fundraising models and financial sustainability

  4. Strategic communication

  5. Strategic partnerships and alliances

  6. Monitoring, evaluation and learning

  7. People management

  8. Financial management  

The programme is delivered in partnership with Stone Soup Consulting, a network of organisational consultants and management experts that help optimise organisations to achieve their best possible impact, and it is part of UICC's organisational leadership workstream, supported by MSD and Fondation Philanthropia.
