Your next steps to help disseminate the call to action to eliminate cervical cancer
We now invite you to help us build momentum by:
1. Sharing the call to action
We ask you to invite your national civil society partners and contacts to join the call to action. We need to unite behind a clear call for national action and work together to build the political and community commitments needed for coordinated information, navigation, support, and care services required to prevent, detect early, and live well with cervical cancer.
Please share this via your social media channels using the tweet below, or adapt it to reflect your organisation's own drive to join the movement.
2. Informing your government
We urge you to sensitise your national government to this global call using this statement. Press them to consult with all national stakeholders to develop/review and improve your national cervical cancer strategy. Call for time bound, ambitious commitments to improve access to HPV vaccination, screening and treatment of pre-cancerous lesions, early detection and treatment of cervical cancer and pain management and palliative care.
We will take this collective call for action to the Interactive UN Civil Society Hearing on NCDs to encourage more organisations to sign up.
Each signature will help us demonstrate the urgency for action by Heads of State at the UN General Assembly and the High Level Meeting on Noncommunicable Diseases on the 27 September 2018.
