On the 14th of October 2019, the global cancer community gathered in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan at the 2019 World Cancer Leaders’ Summit on ‘Universal Health Coverage and Cancer’.
The 2019 World Cancer Leaders' Summit was hosted by the Kazakh Institute of Oncology and Radiology (KazIOR) from Tuesday 15 to Thursday 17 October in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
350 global influencers and leaders in cancer control and public health from 82 countries contributed to the achievement of Universal Health Coverage.
17 October 2019, Nur-Sultan, Kazahkstan. The 2019 World Cancer Leaders’ Summit ended with a strong call to action in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. In his closing speech, the CEO of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) Dr Cary Adams urged the global health leaders to drive action so that Universal Health Coverage is achieved in every country.

The 2019 World Cancer Leaders’ Summit (WCLS) will be held on 15-16 October 2019 in Nur Sultan. The Summit is organised by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and hosted this year by the Kazakh Institute of Oncology and Radiology (KazIOR).
