World Cancer Day 2018: Landmark lighting summary

Cities around the world are signalling their commitment to the global challenge of cancer by lighting up their major landmarks on 4 February in the World Cancer Day colours of orange and blue.

Coast to coast and in cities around the world, close to 50 landmarks, monuments and iconic buildings provided a breath-taking and dramatic display of support.

From one of the seven wonders of the world, Petra, to the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul linking Asia and Europe, to architectural wonder of the City of the Arts and Sciences Museum in Valencia, Spain, to the stately Royal Opera House in Muscat, and to the iconic Empire State Building, these landmarks signalled their commitment to the global challenge of cancer on World Cancer Day 2018.
