Toronto Global Cancer Control Conference

When: 1-3 March 2018
Where: Hilton Hotel, Toronto, Canada

On March 1-3, 2018, the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre at the University Health Network and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto will host a conference “Global Cancer Control:  Creating the Future” on innovation and next generation of approaches to global cancer control. This meeting will map the current state and explore future potential for improved cancer control with a focus on cancer care equity, next generation strategies and capitalization on millennial values. Keynote addresses by global leaders, workshops, panel discussions, rapid-fire posters, and “in-café” sessions are designed to engage cancer, global health, technology, and education experts as well as political and civil society leaders to identify opportunities for innovation and collaboration to accelerate the progress against cancer globally and to place a focus on cancer control firmly on the global development agenda.

Eradicate Cancer World Congress 2018

When: 15 March- 17 March 2018
Where: Melbourne, Australia

The conference will embrace the latest technologies and clinical advances, including “supercharging a patient’s immune system by firstly genetic engineering, empowering T cells is a cancer racing GPS creating cancer smart killer T cells, and secondly the removal of natural hand brakes on immune responses, so they are better able to respond to cancers. These so-called himeric Antigen Receptor T cells (CAR-T) and checkpoint blockade inhibitors, respectively, are the pillars to this immuno-oncology revolution. Fundamental to this is the management of treatment related adverse events and the establishment of safe, effective and practical methods for gene editing lymphocytes. It will also evaluate current strategies to rejuvenate and reconstruct the immune system of cancer patients, given the common immunodeficiency they present, as a result of chemotherapy and even natural aging.
