Spread the message of World Cancer Day through social media and help fight against cancer

Header Paragraph

Today, the World Cancer Day’s Support through Sport initiative officially kicks off on social media.

In 2017, World Cancer Day is harnessing the collective power of sport to spread help spread the message that ‘We can. I can.’ all make an impact in reducing the global cancer burden.

Through the Support through Sport initiative, World Cancer Day is asking every fan, every player, and every team – both professional and amateur - to use their voice, influence and reach, particularly through social media, to raise the awareness of the Day.

With World Cancer Day falling on a weekend this year, there will be many people on the playing field, in the gym, out on a run or in the heat of competition. And, we’re asking everyone to share it on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Here’s how to get involved:

1. Simply take a ball, racket, paddle, your hand or any other sport gear, and write the World Cancer Day hashtag #WeCanICan on it. 2. Take a photo with the hashtag
3. Share it on social media and include the hashtags #WorldCancerDay and #WeCanICan in your posts to show your support.
