The Cancer Atlas, 2nd Edition launched in Chinese
The Chinese version of the Cancer Atlas, 2nd Edition was launched on Saturday 12 December in Hong Kong, China, at the Symposium on Cancer Control in the Western Pacific.
Key speakers at the launch event included Prof. Anne Lee from the University of Hong Kong, Dr Otis Brawley from the American Cancer Society, Dr Roberto Zanetti from the International Association of Cancer Registries and Prof. Mary Gospodarowicz, Past President, of the Union for International Cancer Control. Speakers highlighted key trends and opportunities in the region for cancer prevention and control, including in the areas of planning and delivery comprehensive cancer care.
The Cancer Atlas is the result of a joint initiative between the American Cancer Society, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), and the Union for International Cancer Control to give the global cancer community a new tool in the fight against cancer. The Atlas provides leaders worldwide with actionable data and insights to make better decisions, in order to work toward putting an end to the cancer epidemic.

The Cancer Atlas, 2nd Edition is currently available in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Hindi and Turkish. The Atlas is being translated into Arabic, Farsi and Portuguese which will be launched in the coming months. For more information, please contact advocacy@uicc.org
