Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care Association (KEHPCA)

KEHPCA (Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care Association) is mainly an advocate of palliative care, which includes prevention as well. KEHPCA has been involved with the Ministry of Heath of Kenya in developing the first National Cancer Control Strategy as well as the first National Guidelines for Cancer Management in Kenya. Palliative care is a key component of cancer care and currently being integrated into the national public health care system by our organization. KEHPCA has developed leaflets on cancer that focus on giving general information on cancer prevention, risks and treatment. KEHPCA is an active member of the World Cancer Day celebrarions through giving talks on cancer to the public, taking place in public activities on cancer awareness. KEHPCA is also a member of the Kenya Cancer Association.
