Digital leadership training programme
Digital leadership describes the strategic use of an organisation's digital assets to achieve its goals.
UICC's digital leadership programme aims to build the digital capacity of UICC members, so that in turn they are able to become expert digital storytellers, grow their audiences and raise more funds through effective digital campaigns.
Delivered by Lightful, a technology company powering social change through smart software, tailor-made technology and digital skills training, the initiative will see a cohort of up to 20 UICC members taking part in Lightful's BRIDGE (Building Resilience In Digital Growth and Engagement), a six-months training programme designed to equip small and medium-sized nonprofits with the digital competence and confidence to become more resilient and deliver greater impact.
"BRIDGE has really helped me develop the skills I need to create engaging content, specifically focusing on fundraising”
– BRIDGE programme's participant, 2021

Curriculum
The BRIDGE curriculum is delivered through a variety of formats to accommodate different learning styles. In addition to live online master classes, one-to-one coaching and self-paced e-learning courses, it provides downloadable templates and interactive tools that help reinforce learning.
Each participating organisation is treated as unique with tailored learning journeys and support every step of the way, with 22+ hours of online learning materials and 16+ contact hours through one-to-ones, digital drop-ins and master classes.
The curriculum has been adapted specifically for UICC with the aim to help its members build confidence in areas such as digital strategy, storytelling and fundraising, with a focus on creating digital campaigns in the lead up to World Cancer Day in February (or to any other relevant milestone).
