Hellenic Cancer Society is a non-profit Organization, founded in 1958. Its aim is the fight of cancer and provides information on cancer to the public through leaflets and booklets on various types of cancer, or certain leaflets of a more general nature for prevention purposes. All leaflets are written by specialists on each given subject They provide information to medical and nursing personnel, and financially supports seminars and congresses that are organized locally. Such seminars are of great use for nursing staffs by providing much needed training in oncology-related issues. Hellenic Cancer Society became UICC full member in 1963.
