Knowledge Summaries of Comprehensive Breast Cancer Control

These Knowledge Summaries (KS) were developed as a communication toolkit directed toward both policymakers and clinicians based on the framework of the BHGI resource-stratified guidelines. Their objective was to produce an integrated tool to help guide key policy interventions and clinical practice based on existing data in a concise, topic-directed, evidence-based framework.

This KS toolkit is designed to address foundational questions and answers in comprehensive breast cancer care across the life-course, recognizing that variation exists within and between health systems around the globe.  Sixteen KS documents span the spectrum of comprehensive breast cancer care, divided into seven sections as modeled after the WHO Cancer Control Plan framework. Over 1600 studies or reviews were reviewed to prepare these documents.  While comprehensive in scope, each KS is intended to be brief and readable.

The first two Knowledge Summaries are hosted and available for download on the International Cancer Control Partnership Portal (ICCP Portal) (www.iccp-portal.org) .
