World Cancer Congress
2016 World Cancer Congress: From Melbourne...to Paris to “Mobilise action – Accelerate change”.
Next year more than 3’500 cancer experts will travel to Paris to discuss the latest cancer trends and projections, learn about best practices in science implementation and meet their peers from around the world.
Since 2011, our World Cancer Congresses have been known for providing great intellectual and social interaction for the participants.
What is there for me?
Lots...a lively programme will be designed in collaboration with UICC’s members and partners, and will expose the Congress participants to a large choice of sessions, interactive debates, workshops, capacity building schemes within the five cancer control tracks:
Track 1 - Stemming the tide: innovations in prevention and screening
Track 2 - Closing the gap: quality cancer treatment and diagnosis for all
Track 3 - Improving patient and family experiences
Track 4 - Strengthening cancer control: optimising outcomes of health systems
Track 5 - Empowering civil societies: building capacity for change - NEW!
For the first time this year, a fifth track called Capacity Building will complete the programme. It will feature specific sessions for individuals or organisations, with the objective to increase NGOs’ effectiveness and performance and enable them to successfully respond to fast changing economic conditions, new stakeholders behaviours, political and regulatory challenges and technological trends.
To start Day 1, a Speed Dating Breakfast will boost the Congress participants...be ready for a fun light-hearted moment to mix and mingle, and increase your perspectives with key players from various backgrounds!
Finally, the participants will also be able to enjoy the Congress’ most popular features: the Global Village, the Abstracts presentations, the Big Debates and the Master Courses, to name a few!
The 2016 World Cancer Congress will unveil its new visual identity and new website soon!
