As an organisation in official relations with the WHO, UICC has the privilege of being invited to participate in these regional committee meetings (RCMs). As we see this as a great opportunity for our member organisations to engage with their regional and national WHO offices as well as Ministries of Health, this year we are looking for at least one organisation per region to represent the global community at these meetings.
We are looking for representatives who have:
As a member of the UICC delegation, we expect members to co-develop and deliver UICC statement(s) on relevant agenda items and report back on your progress and experiences to the Advocacy Network to share any lessons learned.
If you are interested in joining the UICC delegation without a travel grant please contact the Knowledge, Advocacy and Policy team (advocacy@uicc.org) by the date in the table above. Alternatively, if your organisation is planning on attending on your own invitation please also let us know as we would like to connect all the cancer advocates attending.
For UICC Members from low- and middle-income countries, UICC will be able to provide one travel grant per region of US$ 2,000.00. To apply, please complete the application form here by the dates indicated in the table above. The application will ask you to share:
The UICC Knowledge, Advocacy and Policy team will review the applications, prioritising those from UICC members who can clearly share how they wish to engage with the meeting and use the knowledge from it. You should receive a response within a week of the deadline.
