Global and European Roundtable Series

Global Roundtable Series (GRS)

The UICC Global Roundtable Series (GRS) take place in various cities around the world focusing on top issues in cancer. These exclusive and multisectoral roundtables bring together civil society organisations, governments, United Nations agencies and the private sector. The aim is to unite key decision makers to address, debate, share ideas and raise awareness around a current pressing issue in the global cancer community.

European Roundtable Series (ERS)

In 2014, the German Cancer Society (DKG) and the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) initiated the European Roundtable Meetings to stimulate more exchange between European cancer organisations and sharing of best practice on key topics relevant to national cancer control planning. Previous meetings have identified the National Cancer Control Plan as a fundamental tool for improved coordination and synergies between key national activities.

On 5 May 2017, participants from European organisations met in Berlin for the fourth in the series of European Roundtable Meetings with a focus of discussion on ‘Quality control and improvement of cancer care – what is needed’.
