Save the date for UICC’S 2022 World Cancer Congress: 17-20 October 2022

UICC’s next World Cancer Congress (WCC) is scheduled to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, on 17th-20th October 2022 as a hybrid event focused on accelerating progress in cancer control.

Header Paragraph

Convening the global cancer community has been central to UICC’s mission ever since the first International Cancer Congress held in Madrid in 1933. The World Cancer Congress (WCC) is a major event in the global cancer control agenda that encourages knowledge transfer and best practices exchange amongst 3,500 global cancer control and health experts from some 130 countries.

The 2022 WCC will take place in UICC’s home city of Geneva, a global health hub. The driving theme of the Congress will be “Committed to global collaboration and knowledge sharing to accelerate progress in cancer control”. Organised as a hybrid event with on-site events complemented by virtual elements, the 2022 WCC will be open to a wider audience and accessible to those participants who may not otherwise be able to attend in person.

The main events at the World Cancer Congress will take place over three days from 18th to 20th October 2022. These will be preceded on 17th October by an educational day offering various learning opportunities in the form of workshops, institutional tours and side events with partners.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to network with cancer organisations from around the world – patient groups, advocacy organisations, research centres, hospitals and other care facilities – and build collaborations, share best practices, exchange with experts and engage in meaningful debates.

A call for sessions will open from 4th October to 12th November 2021.
