Public Health Research Institute of India (PHRII) has been advancing reproductive cancer prevention since 2007 through an integrated model of community service, capacity building, & implementation research. Our work spans behavioral science to improve community engagement, health-seeking behaviors, screening uptake, & clinical innovation in HPV diagnostics, screening with self-collection of HPV DNA samples, and optimized care pathways. By embedding research within service delivery, we generate practical evidence that strengthens health systems & informs scalable, equitable cancer prevention programs. We deliver accessible healthcare through our walk-in clinic & mobile outreach services, bringing screening, prevention, counseling, diagnosis, & follow-up care to underserved urban, rural & tribal communities. Our impact includes: 100,000+ people reached through health education & awareness programs 20,000+ health services delivered to underserved populations 6,500+ women screened using WHO-recommended cervical cancer screening protocols 300+ communities reached across 200+ villages through rural outreach 100+ students, researchers and healthcare professionals trained through internships, fellowships, & capacity-building programs What We Do Research: We conduct implementation research spanning behavioral science, diagnostics, & health systems to improve equitable access to cancer prevention. Learning & Development: We provide internships, fellowships, and hands-on training for students, researchers & healthcare professionals in real-world community settings. Open Resources & Toolkits: We develop & freely share evidence-based educational materials, clinical guidance, standard operating procedures, implementation toolkits, & digital resources. By making these resources available, we support healthcare providers, non-governmental organizations & government agencies in adopting, scaling, and sustaining high-quality cancer prevention programs.
